You might have heard of names of places such as
the Old Silk

Uyghur Projects Foundation is an American-based, Uyghur-led non-profit
organization whose mission is to promote awareness and understanding
of Uyghur culture as well as preserve Uyghur spirit and traditions.
Uyghur Projects Foundation provides financial support for projects of
Uyghur communities around the world related to education, advocacy,
justice and more.
Uyghur Projects Foundation was founded in June of 2019, and is
headquartered in Irvine, California.
Beginning in 2017, the Communist Party in China initiated an inhumane
campaign to eradicate the Uyghur race and culture from the Uyghur’s
homeland, East Turkestan (aka Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region).
Unfortunately, China has been extremely successful in achieving their
goals, utilising their vast resources and national power. Currently
the language, customs, culture and religion of Uyghurs are all banned
in East Turkestan by the Chinese government. Under such conditions,
the ethnic identity of the Uyghurs cannot survive unless action is
taken beyond the Communist Party’s reach outside of China. To help
preserve the culture and the ethnic identity of the Uyghurs in the
Uyghur Diasporra, this foundation seeks to engage in projects that
promote the Uyghur cause. To help Uyghur Projects Foundation, please
